Terms of Use

Terms of Use and privacy policy applicable to www.firepersonnel.com and associated web sites.

We have redefined our terms of use into three sections as follows:-

General Terms- applicable to all users of our sites

For Employers - specific to registered Employers (Advertisers)

For Job Seekers - specific to registered Job Seekers

By visiting our website, whether or not you continue to use any of its features, you are agreeing to and are legally bound by our general terms and employer or job seeker terms as applicable to your use as follows:-

General Terms (sections 1 to 4)

1.Fire Personnel Ltd operates this website and gives no guarantee of its availability. At all times we reserve the right to add, amend, remove and refuse users and content. By making our website available, we do not relinquish any rights to control who uses our website and how access is obtained. By using our website and services, you agree that Fire Personnel Ltd, while taking measures available to it to protect users data through regular monitoring is not liable for securing or use of your data as the whole intention of our website is to enable you to circulate data you have submitted, as a job seeker to be found by potential employers and as an employer to circulate vacancies, each of which use includes the sharing of all information submitted during registration.

2.Content ownership

Users registering (whether as Employer or Job Seeker) and uploading content, and external feeds from advertisers retain ownership of their own content and indemnify Fire Personnel Ltd to the fullest extent against copyright infringement and malicious content in every form . Users are solely responsible for ensuring they are entitled to use the content in their account and undertake to not mis-represent themselves during registration.

3.Registration

Users of our website can register for access to content and services. When registering, details submitted will be retained by Fire Personnel Ltd and may be made available to other registered users and to users of our online and offline Agency Service. You will use unique usernames and passwords to register at our website to ensure that your details cannot be fraudulently used to access other services used by you on the internet. We are not liable for any loss sustained by you in the event of data theft from our databases online. The purpose of our website is to enable Job Seekers and Employers to permit their submitted personal and business information to be viewed by other users including employers, job seekers and advertisers.

4. Cookies

Data Protection laws require websites within the EU to seek your consent to send you cookies and from May 2012 you are likely to see warnings at many websites you visit. Therefore when you conduct a job search, register or sign-in to our services, the submit/action buttons use the phrases 'I accept cookies' and/or 'Requires cookies'.  By pressing those 'action buttons' you are accepting that cookies will be sent by us. Cookies cannot by themselves be used to personally identify you. At Fire Personnel websites, we use 'session cookies' to enable seamless flow through your use of our website, including Google Cookies to monitor traffic frequency and origin and selected third party advertiser cookies to monitor job search frequency and results. You can disable cookies in your web browser but you will find that our site cannot function without them due to the nature of our online services.

Employers (sections 5 - 9)

5. Our Fees

When you make a purchase from our website you are paying for advertising space within our job listings for the purpose of advertising your vacancies at our website and we give no guarantee that you will succeed in finding suitable candidates. Fees paid are non-refundable except in the event that  we reject your purchase.  A contract is not formed between us when you make your payment but is formed upon our acceptance of your advertising text.

6. Content validation

Fire Personnel Ltd reserve the right to verify all advertised vacancies to ensure they are relevant to our services and to refuse admission to our job listings, front page subscriptions and/or other sections of our website and services if we deem your content to be inappropriate.  In the event that we reject your advertising (which we reserve the rights to do for any reason whatsoever) no contract shall exist between us and you will be entitled to a refund of our fee which we will endeavour to process within 14 days.

7. Distribution

Fire Personnel is networked to other internet resources to help your advertising exposure. While we will endeavour to maintain additional networking, external sources are outside of our direct control and we give no undertaking that your advertising will extend beyond our own website.

8. Resumes

From time to time we may make job seekers CV's available to Employers. We have not reviewed CV's uploaded by job seekers and do not give any guarantee of their suitability for your vacancies. When you view a job seekers CV you undertake not to distribute to other parties, or to use any information supplied for any purpose other than for your own review for employment opportunities. You fully indemnify us against any loss incurred by job seekers as a direct result of your viewing their CV. You will not use our service to 'farm' CV's and we monitor account usage to help detect excessive downloads.

9. Limitation of our liability

It is unlikely that your use of our services can result in losses to you or your oganisation, except insofar as your registered data is somehow abused or fraudulently obtained and used. You agree that the maximum extent of our liability to you howsoever caused shall not exceed the cost of your most recent advertising on a single 30 day job post basis in any circumstances and during FREE promotional periods will be maximum £0.01 (one pence only). 

Job Seekers (sections 10 - 15)

10. Registration

When you register with us, you will have the option to select the privacy rules that apply to your account and CV visibility. However, we accept no liability for software defects or user error that may result in your privacy choices not being observed. You undertake that personal data submitted by you will be accurate, updated regularly and has been submitted by you specifically to enable your personal details as registered and uploaded to be found on the internet.

11. Use of CV Wizard and CV Uploads

Our service incorporates an automated CV Wizard that works with information you input to compile a CV. This is a free service and we do not offer any assurance that it will always be available to you.

Your uploaded CV (also referred to as a Resume) and a CV compiled with our CV Wizard remain your own property at all times and you are entitled to control its content and use and are solely liable for your CV accuracy and content.

You agree that Fire Personnel Ltd may retain a copy of your CV within our 'offline' database

12. Account closure

You may discontinue your account with us at any time by contacting us via our website. We reserve the right to conduct enquiries before closing accounts to ensure that malicious actions are not being undertaken by false parties.

13. Your financial data

In no circumstances will a representative of Fire Personnel Ltd, its websites or associated services require your personal financial information such as bank account details, national insurance number or passport. If you are approached by email, phone or in writing for such details DO NOT SUPPLY THEM. You undertake to notify us immediately if you receive any such information requests from anyone purporting to represent Fire Personnel Ltd.

14. Using Job Search

At Fire Personnel websites we have tools available to help you in your job search. You use these at your own risk entirely. Be aware that we have no direct control over Employers who advertise at our website or other linked external sources (including recruitment agencies, job boards and internet services) and you are solely responsible for  conducting  your own research into any organisation before submitting personal information online or using other services linked from our website.

15. Limitation of our liability

We do not charge job seekers for use of our services and consequently we accept no financial liability to you under any circumstances whatsoever.

This includes but is not limited to abuse of your data, internet theft, employers misuse or malpractice.
